Introduced in 2001 this award is designed to:

  • recognise outstanding students in the Bachelor of Laws degree;
  • provide these students with opportunities to advance their research skills;
  • enhance the research culture amongst the Faculty's undergraduate students.

The renewed focus on research for the 'real world' by the QUT Faculty of Law was highlighted when Allens Arthur Robinson hosted the 2006 Dean's Research Scholars Ceremony on 11 September 2006.

The Dean's Research Scholars are the top 20 grade point average students in the Faculty of Law who have completed the second-year component of the Bachelor of Laws. They will be on the first-call for any paid research assistant work which may arise within the Faculty.
